Like the sims

Dude I really like this. It's so simple an playful!

It makes smile a little xD

Y'know the songs in The Sims 2? Ya, here ya go.

The only little tidbit that needs to be changed is the bass drum... It sounds muddy, ever look up Roland Orchestral?

OHBOYHAPPY

gratz, it's favorited. I might do some remix work with it too, lol so I'll send a PM, we've got the same soundfonts. So no worries about compatibility C:

Theledge93 responds:

FUCK YES!

Been looking through your stuffz

I like the intro, definitely a great build to something epic.

Let's see, when you do the flute or piccolo trill, make sure you do a lot of dynamic changes, (e.g. fade in/out), otherwise it kinda sounds like a telephone. I do like this though, don't get me wrong, makes it sound like some kind of spy cinematic.

The choir soundfont you used, i'm not too fond of it. It sounds too MIDIish. Which isn't bad, considering it is.

Another thing.... are you using the Faithless Pizzicato soundfont? It's not too good for live intents. I could be wrong though.

Everything else is good, I like the tempo rate and how it rolls along, I'm definitely fond of the chordial structure.

Everything else is beautiful C:

blackattackbitch responds:

Much thanks on the advice for the flute trill, I'll definitely keep that in mind for my future pieces. I did do fade ins and outs on the flutes, but I'll make sure to articulate them better.

The choir was actually papelmedia, believe it or not. I should have EQed it a bit haha.

Actually I had never heard of the Faithless Pizzicato soundfont, in fact I don't believe I used pizzicatos on this song, even though I have the squidfont samples at my disposal.

You might be thinking of the cello staccatos at the end, or the dbass staccatos. I avoided pizzicato sounds because I felt that they weren't powerful enough.

Thanks for the review, I love getting feedback! Glad you checked out my song!

Reflective

A simple, beautiful piece. Perfect for reflections. When listening to this song, I see a sun setting on orange hued waters. Perfect name choice! You nailed it right on.

I can almost guarantee this is gonna get up there on the NG ranks real quick :P

Flawless,

5/5 and favorited!

wow! thanks!! I really hope it gets on the charts real fast :P Well I find it really nice that nearly everyone loves it! Thanks for the review!!
Cheerio!!

A smooth sound

A very nice smooth sound, but to be honest the chord progression is pretty basic, and a bit repetitive. Try adding some accidentals or something P:

Otherwise, great job, i see this has already made it pretty big in the NG society.

good job :3

EchozAurora responds:

Yeah.. I definitely need to study up on theory so I can make things a bit more complex

Nice

Reminds me a lot of 2 of my favorite bands,

The Postal Service & Lamb

One is Glitch/Electronic and the other is Trip Hop, both are brilliant, and you fit right in their category.

Great Job mate, especially liked that ambiant strings effect in the very beginning around 00:02

Interesting

You're getting a lot better C:

But i would agree with Gravey on the monotony, roll the chords, add some musical grace notes and 16ths. and... do something about those strings D: They're just narsty, those are background quality strings really. When you dropped the piano, the whole piece kind of dropped to nothing.

Also, fix those dissonant chords in the beginning, i'm not sure if you were intending to do that... but it sounds like when a beginning orchestra pops in bad notes.

I like the melody though... to tell you the truth it kinda reminds me of Tarzan haha.

Good job on concept writing, reminds me of a "goodbye" piece.

At 2:59 i'd change the staccato notes to sustained, meaning lengthen the notes. it's kinda "blocky" as you told me my pizzicato was lol

Brilliant

Who'd ever think of remixing an animated sitcom? haha

Plus I love the mellow tones you used, it's really simple but so is the original piece. Nice job with the panning of the snares.

Good job :D

interesting

again, good intro, but after the intro i would go write into the melody, no empty space with the beat. And do something about that Chip Arp lol, it's a little to heavy. It's getting there C: Kinda reminds me of skeletons or something... wet skeletons. yaaaaa

This is good

really high quality, so you did this buy ear? Cuz if so i'm amazed just by that.

one thing though, why don't you try panning instruments across "the stage" like how in band you have the treble on your left and the bass on the right, and the percussion in the back, there's a reason for that. otherwise I'm impressed, though some parts sound a little empty... Maybe around 3:20 add some busy flute part.

Good otherwise though C: 5/5

Awesome

No suggestions, just turn your volume down, cuz it's clipping.

Fix it and i'll five it x3

Hey, I've been composing since I was 13. Lately I've been enjoying writing my own creative music for NG, however, if you have any projects you would like custom scoring for, please send me a PM!
